170 girls belong to poor families. These girls are studying in 9th class in Zilha Parishad School, Majalgaon, Dist. Beed ( Maharashtra). All the girls' parents are daily wage workers. Parents of these girls are not interested in educating them because of bad economic conditions, but girls want to educate and live a good life. Parents can’t afford their educational materials expenses. So girls are facing problems in studying. These girls need 9th class Syllabus books & Note Books.
Unfortunately things are getting difficult to manage expenses because of the CORONA pandemic. Most labor families are given last preference to children's education in rural areas.
About the NGO:
The Last Truth Foundation started in 2011 at Majalgaon Dist. Beed, Maharashtra. We are working towards creating a Healthy and Better Society which Facilitates Women and Children’s Empowerment; provide development opportunities for Youth and Work for an Environment Improvement and Awareness in rural Maharashtra.
In lockdown we distributed more than 100 grocery kits to needy families in villages. Also we distributed masks to people. We conducted menstrual hygiene awareness programs in many villages and also distributed more than 300 sanitary pads to needy women. Maharashtra Government’s LOKRAJYA Magazines were distributed to youth who were preparing for the competitive examinations. We created employment through our ROSHNI project for village women. Also we distributed Plastic to Street People for their hut. 101 fruit plants are distributed & planted in the village. Celebrated DAAN UTSAV with street children for the reading revolution.
Now, we are working with Z.P.Schools's boys & girls from block Majalgaon, Dist. Beed Maharashtra. We are collecting Educational Material for them. Also we are creating menstrual hygiene awareness among school girls. Also we are trying to give employment to village women. These activities we are doing now.
