Rocky, a cheerful street dog in Delhi, greeted everyone with a wagging tail, but life on the streets was tough—especially in the freezing winters. One bitterly cold season, Rocky struggled to find food and warmth, growing weaker each day. Hungry and shivering, he began to lose hope.

Then, a group of kind-hearted people stepped in. They gave him warm blankets and nourishing meals, slowly nursing him back to health. Rocky's tail wagged with joy once more, and his life turned around. This winter, countless dogs like Rocky will face the cold alone. With your kindness, we can bring them warmth, food, and hope. Let’s help them survive another winter
As Winter Approaches, Their Health & Safety Are At Risk
Neglect, abandonment, illness, abuse - stray animals are subject to all of these atrocities and more. Harsh weather and the coldwave only make their plight worse.
During winters in India, stray dogs face numerous challenges that put their health and safety at risk. With no warm shelter to protect them from the harsh weather conditions, these animals are often left to fend for themselves in the cold. They are more susceptible to illnesses, hypothermia, and frostbite, and are forced to scavenge for food and water amidst the scarcity of these resources. This also leads to malnutrition and dehydration, making these animals even more vulnerable to infections.
“People often ignore the stray dogs wagging their tails and looking up to them with eyes full of hope. As humans, it’s our responsibility to take care of the entire ecosystem, and dogs being our best friend, are always around us. During winters, especially during the night time, they feel the pain of cold. There’s hardly any shelter for them on the roads. The best we can do is provide them with sweaters and jackets to survive winter,” - Abhishekh Anand, Founder Daan India Foundation.
Together We Can Ensure Countless Stray Dogs Get Warm Dog Coats To Survive The Coldwave
The safety and protection of animals has always been an important cause at Donatekart, and this winter, along with our on-ground NGO partners, we hope to reach out to many more dogs to help them survive the cold. For this, the NGOs need your support to get dog coats and food, so that they’re not only safe and warm but also well-fed during these months.
Let’s help them survive the bitter cold this winter. Your contribution can save the lives of countless stray dogs.
Beneficiary NGOs:
